THE STORY OF SAFFRON EYECARE
Saffron Eyecare was established in July 1996 after the owners decided they could offer something different to the optical community. Our mission is simple, to provide attentive, informative eye care and stylish, quality products.
As an independent practice, we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and we offer a friendly and professional experience for all of our clients.
As a child friendly store we carry a wide range of children's frames and we enjoy making the examinations fun and interactive for our younger patients. There is so much more to your eye examination at Saffron Eyecare than finding out if you require spectacles or contact lenses.
Mr Rizwan Jasat has been the optometrist here since we first opened over 20 years ago, and it is his passion for promoting good eye health, as well as the friendly and approachable support staff, that keeps our customers coming back year after year.
MEET THE TEAM
Rizwan (Bsc (Hons) MCOptom) is our primary Optometrist here at Saffron Eyecare. Over the years he has been providing second to none sight care for much of the local community, and as such has built up a very loyal customer base. On the rare days he isn’t at work he spends as much time as he can on his bicycle, and has been involved in several charity bike rides to raise money for some great local causes, most recently a sponsored cycle from Leicester to Luxembourg which raised over £10,000 for LOROS Hospice.

Jess is the practice manager and has worked at Saffron Eyecare for 10 years. She has completed the WCSM Level 3 Optical Practice Support Course and as such is very knowledgeable about the types of optical lenses and contact lenses available and enjoys helping the customers find the best pair of spectacles for their needs. Outside of work Jessica enjoys socialising, reading and going to the gym.
Sarah relocated to Leicester from Stafford over eight years ago and has 20 years experience in the independent optical industry which she has brought with her to Saffron Eyecare. She has completed the WCSM Level 2 Optical Practice Support course, and is always interested in learning more about new technologies and products on the market. Sarah always has a smile on her face and loves a chat with the customers. Sarah is a big football fan and as a Leicester City season ticket holder she regularly attends matches with her husband.
Mary (our admin guru) joined the team in 2018. She ran a successful business in the local area for 20 years before deciding on a change of pace and career. Outside of work Mary enjoys socialising and spending time with her many grandchildren.
